how to select conda environment as interpreter

i just update vscode, and the 'python environment' extension was added, then vs code unable to read the conda env and show up 'failed to run ''conda info --envs --json''... permission denied' then i am unable to select the conda environment as interpreter, so how can i give it the permission? The command can be run successfully in the inside shell.

Do you have the "Python Environments" extension installed. If you do, uninstall it from VS Code. I started having the same problem as you last week. Removing the Python Environments extension allowed the conda python interpreter to function again.

At the same time I had problems with numpy, scipy, and pandas failing to import. Uninstalling the "Pylance" extension resolved that problem.

thanks, i have disabled it and now it works as before. And after that numpy works no problem.

@anotheryia Sorry that you are running into this issue. Can you share the logs? We have been testing "Python Environments" extension for about half a year, it would be really helpful if you can share the details of what went wrong.
Also is conda available on PATH (does where conda or which conda show a path)? have you set python.condaPath somewhere? was conda initialized via conda init in shells you are using.

logs does not mention 'conda info ' i try the sidebar environment managers and get the final error

I found the conda environment extension works well in another machine, i compare the extension configuration and finally make it work.
Below are how i set the configurations that makes it work.
