How to remove dependency on Creators Kit

(Apologies if this issue is not specific to the Creators Kit...)

In a managed Canvas App, I briefly added the Search component. I am not ready to use it yet, and removed it from the screens. It no longer shows up in Power Apps Studio's 'Insert' options...

But the dependency remains as far as Power Apps is concerned. I am unable to import the solution into Production, where we do not have the kit.

Digging into the solution package: in customizations.xml, node has 2 references to cat_PowerCAT.SearchBox. Should these dependcies remain? What is the remedy for removing this?
