This exploration task is medium priority but time-sensitive because the sp/* branches are extremely recent (June 5–6, 2026).

Why relevant: Feedback agent improvements and web visualizer work directly touch our open priorities (#35 LLM client / agent runner, web dashboard in Rust).

Suggested next step for agent: Browse the compare views or commit lists for these branches. Summarize changes in feedback logic, prompts, logging, or UI. File follow-up issues with direct links if valuable changes are found. Re-check periodically as these branches are active.

Reviewed upstream hexo-ai/sia (branches + recent commits) — automated sweep

Key correction up front: the major merged upstream commits — 446270f (security hardening/sandbox), 8c539ae (modular refactor + config-driven providers/profiles), af28c1f (feedback-agent profiles), 4b4877f (CLI contract bump) — are already in this repo's history (git merge-base --is-ancestor confirms all four) and are reflected in the Rust port. Nothing to backport there.

Genuinely new / unported = the open upstream PRs (all unmerged, so monitor):

• hexo-ai/sia#21 — Harbor mode: run SIA against external benchmarks via Harbor containers (harbor_agent.py / harbor_runner.py). New integration surface; if it lands, the natural port is a harbor-runner Cargo feature touching src/orchestrator.rs.
• hexo-ai/sia#24 — RL tuning / --focus: RL-based weight updates — the "Weight Updates" half of the paper, which the Rust port does not yet implement (cf. our LoRA / Test-Time Training / Weight Update Integration (Native Rust preferred) #19). Highest-leverage to watch.
• hexo-ai/sia#16 — HiveMind gateway: route target agents through a local OpenAI-compatible gateway. Our src/llm/provider_mapping.rs already supports OpenAI-compatible base_urls, so this is mostly a provider/profile JSON addition once it merges — no Rust code.

Bottom line: nothing in upstream main is unported. The three open PRs (Harbor / RL-weights / HiveMind) are the things to track; none is merged or stable yet. Closing this as reviewed; the new sia-fork-explorer skill (#45) + a re-check when those PRs merge is the right follow-up. The RL/weights PR maps to our deferred #19.

(No other public Rust port of SIA exists; the sibling forks are stale mirrors — see #42/#37.)
