Sometimes you don't want to mute the sounds, just make them happen WAY less frequently.
The main culprits in the game are the animal noises, but this should be an option for all sounds.

Let's have a button called "Less of" - or something similar - to allow people to mark sounds that should happen infrequently.

The way this works though shouldn't be the simple x% of the overall amount because the overall amount would increase with the number of emitters. (Like near a massive cow pen, even 1% would be a lot).

I propose muting sound events for a randomized time window. Will require testing to figure out what this means.
Could even add an easter egg where animal sounds don't happen at night... idk, just an idea.
