I think maybe in some cases, like in EKS, different interfaces are used for IPv4 and IPv6. Currently we bind a socket with a destination address of 8.8.8.8:53, and then check which local interface would be used for that. If I change it to an IPv6 address, a different local interface is used on EKS. So I'm checking if maybe we have to start sniffing on two interfaces if we want to also get IPv6, but I'm not sure yet.
