ISSUE - Question about NODE PROPERTIES file (CSV)

I am working in the CSV environment. I feel like the NODE PROPERTIES file could be of real importance, but it's a mystery to me. The only examples I have show a node specific value that (coincidentally or not) matches a cluster label. My central question is whether one or more project-specific properties can be assigned to a node, and how. I would really appreciate insights on 'node properties' in general and a simple example with just a few lines in CSV form that demonstrate whether and how multiple values can be assigned to a node. (And in the case where the property is cluster, how entries in the node properties file relate to entries in the cluster labels file. Both seem to be optional.)
