Chromium (and Chrome as well) doesn't supports share_target on Linux. At least KDE has sharing mechanisms, but it's not supported by Chromium PWAs

Maybe this table was made before the official release of Chrome on Linux, and it's the reason why the table doesn't count it as an only partial support

Chromium (Chrome, Edge 79+, Opera, Samsung Internet)

Yellow support indicator next to chromium based browsers, and a remark about absence of Linux support

Did you test this? If so, how?

I tested in my app, and in photopea (it has share_target in the manifest) - it doesn't appear in Dolphin file manager share menu (even after system reboot). File handling works fine though

Can you clarify what sharing mechanisms those are?

The linked Chromium issue has a comment stating:

On Linux, I don't think Web Share would work at all, since there is no native share system. Arguably, there should just be a way to share from web-to-web, but that would require a specific UI just for Linux (since all the other platforms will use the native system share sheet).

Based on that, we could add a note, but it looks like a operating system limitation, which usually doesn't justify marking support as partial.

I refer to this item in Dolphin context menu

To be honest, I think KDE has made it to place ADS, because I have not installed NextCloud or Imgur, and don't know how to remove these items, but it's another issue

Telegram desktop client supports it. Its source code is available here. But it doesn't support sharing from the app, I don't see share mechanisms inside telegram client itself, like share image, share video

On Reddit people told me that these items are added and autoloaded as qt6 plugins. And I've found them

I think it can be fair, if it's only Qt feature in KDE, but in other hand, it's technically not implemented where it could be implemented. I'm not sure what do you mean, a note in compatibility data table, or a note in the documentation itself
