[Feature Request] VGA to composite transcoding on analog output board

I was curious to know if video output from the vga out on the analog out board can be used to output composite if the correct adapter is used? I have a vga to composite adapter but it doesn’t have an fpga included, so it’s basically just a luma trap that requires this to take place before being able to convert to composite properly. Would this be doable on the OSSC pro?

For this kind of use case the least intrusive option would be making a revision of extra AV output board with BH7236AF or similar TV encoder chip. It'd probably remain DIY-only due to presumably low demand, though.

The main advantage of offering something like "Direct Video" on the MiSTer is to allow using low-cost commercially available DACs to generate an S-Video or Composite output signal. Given the MiSTer uses the Cyclone V, and so does the OSSC Pro, it's almost certainly possible to implement without any hardware redesign at all.

As far as demand, perhaps it is niche, but I could really use something like this! I'm currently buying the analog output board and an AD724 based transcoder to have something that will work "out of the box". But perhaps Direct Video mode would actually have advantages other than just needing to buy less extra hardware?
