Description

Automated Deployment and Updates on all Clients. We seed the actually Status on the Webinterface included the Version/Update, Backup and other Status.

Use Case

With that we don't need Client Access or Manually Installation of the Agent for the Backups, ... on Win, Linux, ...

Do you mean deploying the agent via ssh / Powershell from the admin panel without having to login to each client ? there is already a robust agent and Borg update implementation.

For Example. With Authentication was Better for more Security. Yes, the Admin Panel/Webinterface was the Central Start/Point.

The borg server, by design, has no communication with the agent directly. This is done for security so that the server never has the credentials for the client so it can't be compromised. We could setup some sort of temporary password that is not stored to deploy the agent if that is what you are saying. I'd need to think more about this. Often, the backup server can't even connect to the agent because it's behind NAT or firewall. Having the agent install is the best option in that case. A terraform script may be more appropriate.
