i want to get some feedback of how it works for people, if it does, I'd think we can push it out to the other areas. It's probably not very mobile friendly, i might see if I can make that happen too.

Youre right I didnt consider mobile

The directory picker is now responsive on mobile. Below tablet width it opens as a fullscreen sheet with the folder tree filling most of the screen (larger, tap-friendly rows), the selected list as a strip beneath it, and the add/remove buttons laid out to point down/up between the two. Desktop is unchanged. It'll be in the next release.
