3.Different tools, honestly. QuillBot is a full writing suite —paraphraser, grammar checker, summarizer, citation tools, browser and Word integrations. If you want one product that covers the whole writing workflow, it's more mature than we are and probably the better pick.

Lynote is narrower. Two things are actually different:

• The core pipeline is open source — this repo. You can read what it does, run it locally, or fork it. QuillBot is closed.
• There's a detector in the same workspace with sentence-level highlighting, so you can see which specific passages still read as machine-written rather than getting one score for a document.

What I won't claim: that we beat any specific detector. Detection is statistical and results vary by detector and text type. The samples in examples/showcase/ include the actual verdicts we got — draw your own conclusions from those rather than from me.
