                    <h2>WebKit Monoculture Isn't Breaking the Web: You Are</h2>

                        Alp Toker is a British programmer and web browser technologist. In 1994, he developed one of the earliest browsers, and at age 11 attained an A Level in Computer Science with his work on web rendering technology.</p>

                        <p>Since 2006 Alp has become one of the first team leads on the WebKit project outside of Apple’s own Safari group. His developments on mobile browsing have been incorporated into iPhone, and the porting layer has since formed the underpinning of the Android browser and Google Chrome.</p>

                        <p>Alp believes in the browser as an agent of change, having worked on projects like WebKit for OLPC to give Internet access to children in developing countries. His company Nuanti is instrumental in HTML5 video, CSS3, ACID3 and web accessibility that lets vision-impaired users “see” the web.</p>

                        <p>Alp Toker continues to realise his dream at Nuanti where he’s heading up Boot2WebKit, a new OS for connected TV, game consoles and smart devices built on open web standards.</p>

                       Martin Beeby works for Microsoft where he talks to developers about HTML5, Windows 8 and the web. Martin has been developing since he was 16 and over the past 12 years has worked on projects with many major brands including National Rail Enquiries, The Financial Times and Tesco.</p>

					<p>Andreas has been with Opera since 2007: first as QA engineer and web evangelist in Tokyo, then as group leader Developer Relations working from Opera's Oslo HQ. In February he became Product Manager for Opera Extensions, and a member of Opera's Web Standards group.</p>

					<p>Chris Heilmann has dedicated a lot of his time making the web better. Originally coming from a radio journalism background, he built his first web site from scratch around 1997 and spent the following years working on lots of large, international web sites. He then spent a few years in Yahoo building products and explaining and training people and is now at Mozilla. Chris wrote and contributed to four books on web development and wrote many articles and hundreds of blog posts for Ajaxian, Smashing Magazine, Yahoo, Mozilla, ScriptJunkie and many more.</p>

                    <p>Jake works in Google Chrome's developer relations team, working on specs, testing implementations, and ensuring developers have tools to make their jobs less painful. He's a big fan of time-to-render optimisations, progressive enhancement, and all of that responsive stuff.</p>

                    <p>Prior to Google, Jake worked at Lanyrd on their <a href="http://lanyrd.com/mobile/" target="_blank">mobile web site</a>, and for the BBC working on JavaScript libraries and standards.</p>

                    <p>Outside of the web, Jake likes F1 and nice beer.</p>

                    <p>She has 12 years hands-on strategic digital product design and leadership experience responsible for creating market leading products with unique IP for household brands e.g. BBC iPlayer – No.1 brand in UK and Nokia Asha Smart Phones commanding 35% market share in Asia. Her designs have boosted share value by 18%, created valuable online properties and paved way for successful start up exits worth over millions. She is an invited speaker at SXSW, O’Reilly ETech, MEX, TEDx, Apple Computers Inc , 2013 D&AD judge and tutor at UCL’s Mobile Academy.</p>

                    <p>Priya is a RSA fellow with a MA in Interaction Design from Royal College of Art and holds patents for iPlayer & Nokia Asha phones.</p>

Beside lecturing information technologies in further education, Michael worked mainly over the last 14 years as an independent consultant and online designer for various clients by managing their projects throughout the development stages. In spring 2012 Michael incorporated Online Design Ltd, an agency developing online strategies and user experience for SMEs.</p>

Starting off his career whilst still at secondary school and now with many years experience, Ben has done everything from large multi-lingual email campaigns to highly interactive, responsive user interfaces and is responsible for the standards and front-end direction of his agency. Whilst some people's addiction is to smoke or drink, Ben's is to tweet - sometimes to the annoyance of his colleagues.</p>

                    <p>Seb Lee-Delisle is an award winning digital artist and speaker who likes to make interesting things that engage and inspire people.</p>

                    <p>His work has pushed the boundaries of what is possible in digital, and he won a BAFTA for a BBC project with Plug-in Media, the agency he founded in 2003. In 2012 he was awarded an Arts Council grant for the large scale installation PixelPyros (the official launch of the Brighton Digital Festival), closely followed by a commission for the Dublin Science Gallery GAME exhibition, Lunar Trails, that features a full size arcade cabinet and a 3m wide drawing machine.</p>

                    <p>A sought-after speaker, his recent Creative JavaScript / HTML5 workshop series sold out within hours. He co-hosts the Creative Coding Podcast, his blog can be found at seb.ly and he tweets <a href="http://www.twitter.com/seb_ly" target="_blank">@seb_ly</a>.</p>

        <p>We are in the early stages of putting together this year's conference. Although we have secured almost all of the browser representatives from last year, we are on the lookout for speakers for our breakout sessions.</p>
