Question about migrating from other platforms

Hi! I'm a bit of an AI memory nerd and have been playing around with Letta a fair bit and really enjoying myself. That being said, it has some serious limitations.

I just discovered your project and am extremely interested. I've been interested in smart, dynamic recall and what you have done here far exceeds the kinds of things I was starting to think of.

My question is: I have a few agents in letta that I have developed a good bit of memories with. I've implemented something like a segmented memory architecture just much more simple (just text based autobio, operational, working blocks). Do you think there is a way that your new system could "digest" and integrate these existing blocks so that I can effectively port my existing agents?

Short answer: yes, migrating existing memories is very feasible. 0GMem has an import mechanism (import_memory) that can ingest pre-structured data into the unified memory graph.

Here's how I'd approach porting your Letta agent memories:

1. Export your Letta blocks as plain text (autobiographical, operational, working)
2. Feed them through 0GMem's ingestion pipeline — you can use MemoryManager.add_message() to process each block as if it were a conversation turn. The system will automatically:
   - Extract entities and relationships
   - Build temporal links
   - Create semantic embeddings
   - Detect negations and causal chains
3. Alternatively, if your blocks are already structured facts, you could use the MCP server's store_memory tool to insert them directly with metadata (speaker, timestamp, etc.)

The main thing you'd lose in a migration is the original conversation context (since Letta stores blocks, not full transcripts), but the facts themselves would be preserved and enriched with 0GMem's graph structure.
