Bug description

When using Sloppy or Mouse window activation, some applications break.
A good example is Steam. Everything works fine until I want to select anything from a drop-down menu or context menu.
Clicking on an item causes the element behind that item to activate.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set window activation to Mouse or Sloppy
  2. Launch an application like steam
  3. Enter a drop down menu or context menu
  4. Try clicking on an item

Expected behavior

The selected drop-down/context menu item should execute

I always use sloppy focus mode and haven't encountered this. Does it happen in something besides Steam? My understanding is that Steam uses some kind of custom UI and this may have nothing to do with Cinnamon.

If I remember correctly, this also affects the Gale mod manager.
Though, this may be for the same reason.

Should I report this to them instead?
