v0.5.0-alpha

Please check out the latest release of Acorn v0.5.1-alpha instead, which includes bug fixes and a Linux release.

We are pleased to introduce the v0.5.0-alpha release of Acorn, which offers the most in terms of performance and reliability that Acorn has offered yet, due to the major improvements in the underlying Holochain library that is bundled and many improvements to the user interface that we've made as well.

While this alpha testing continues, we are excited to have YOU download and use Acorn for real projects and visioning work, so that we can learn from and improve on the reliability and feature set of Acorn. To any user, we recommend reading the guidelines for using alpha Acorn on our wiki before extensively using Acorn.

The only download available at this time is the MacOS version (Acorn-0.5.0-alpha.dmg), but we will be providing Linux (and hopefully Windows) app within a week of this release publication. Please scroll beyond the image and download the file Acorn-0.5.0-alpha.dmg and open it in order to install Acorn.
