will try - I'm on the road without my dev laptop :( btw - I confirmed this works using adb shell and su echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight1/brightness will start the back button and echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight1/blink will make it blink additionally there is no such thing as /sys/class/g2_rgb_led/use_patterns/blink_patterns there is only /sys/class/lg_rgb_led/use_patterns/blink_patterns |
Yeah I know about that blink patterns. I'll change it soon. On Wed, Jun 24, 2015, 11:11 PM Sandeep Srinivasa [email protected]

commit 3ec981e30fae1f3c8728a05c730acaa1f627bcfb upstream. loop: fix crash if blk_alloc_queue fails If blk_alloc_queue fails, loop_add cleans up, but it doesn't clean up the identifier allocated with idr_alloc. That causes crash on module unload in idr_for_each(&loop_index_idr, &loop_exit_cb, NULL); where we attempt to remove non-existed device with that id. commit aa07c713ecfc0522916f3cd57ac628ea6127c0ec upstream. After setting ACL for directory, I got two problems that caused by the cached zero-length default posix acl. This patch make sure nfsd4_set_nfs4_acl calls ->set_acl with a NULL ACL structure if there are no entries. Thanks for Christoph Hellwig's advice. First problem: ............ hang ........... …s struct file commit e4daf1ffbe6cc3b12aab4d604e627829e93e9914 upstream. The following call chain: ------------------------------------------------------------ nfs4_get_vfs_file - nfsd_open - dentry_open - do_dentry_open - __get_file_write_access - get_write_access - return atomic_inc_unless_negative(&inode->i_writecount) ? 0 : -ETXTBSY; ------------------------------------------------------------ can result in the following state: ------------------------------------------------------------ struct nfs4_file { ... fi_fds = {0xffff880c1fa65c80, 0xffffffffffffffe6, 0x0}, fi_access = {{ counter = 0x1 }, { counter = 0x0 }}, ... ------------------------------------------------------------ 1) First time around, in nfs4_get_vfs_file() fp->fi_fds[O_WRONLY] is NULL, hence nfsd_open() is called where we get status set to an error and fp->fi_fds[O_WRONLY] to -ETXTBSY. Thus we do not reach nfs4_file_get_access() and fi_access[O_WRONLY] is not incremented. 2) Second time around, in nfs4_get_vfs_file() fp->fi_fds[O_WRONLY] is NOT NULL (-ETXTBSY), so nfsd_open() is NOT called, but nfs4_file_get_access() IS called and fi_access[O_WRONLY] is incremented. Thus we leave a landmine in the form of the nfs4_file data structure in an incorrect state. 3) Eventually, when __nfs4_file_put_access() is called it finds fi_access[O_WRONLY] being non-zero, it decrements it and calls nfs4_file_put_fd() which tries to fput -ETXTBSY. ------------------------------------------------------------ ... Prior to commit c0371da6047a ("put iov_iter into msghdr") in v3.19, there was no check that the iovec contained enough bytes for an ICMP header, and the read loop would walk across neighboring stack contents. Since the iov_iter conversion, bad arguments are noticed, but the returned error is EFAULT. Returning EINVAL is a clearer error and also solves the problem prior to v3.19. This was found using trinity with KASAN on v3.18: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in memcpy_fromiovec+0x60/0x114 at addr ffffffc071077da0 Read of size 8 by task trinity-c2/9623 page:ffffffbe034b9a08 count:0 mapcount:0 mapping: (null) index:0x0 flags: 0x0() page dumped because: kasan: bad access detected CPU: 0 PID: 9623 Comm: trinity-c2 Tainted: G BU 3.18.0-dirty lg-devs#15 Hardware name: Google Tegra210 Smaug Rev 1,3+ (DT) Call trace: [<ffffffc000209c98>] dump_backtrace+0x0/0x1ac arch/arm64/kernel/traps.c:90 [<ffffffc000209e54>] show_stack+0x10/0x1c arch/arm64/kernel/traps.c:171 [< inline >] __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:15 [<ffffffc000f18dc4>] dump_stack+0x7c/0xd0 lib/dump_stack.c:50 [< inline >] print_address_description mm/kasan/report.c:147 [< inline >] kasan_report_error mm/kasan/report.c:236 [<ffffffc000373dcc>] kasan_report+0x380/0x4b8 mm/kasan/report.c:259 [< inline >] check_memory_region mm/kasan/kasan.c:264 [<ffffffc00037352c>] __asan_load8+0x20/0x70 mm/kasan/kasan.c:507 [<ffffffc0005b9624>] memcpy_fromiovec+0x5c/0x114 lib/iovec.c:15 [< inline >] memcpy_from_msg include/linux/skbuff.h:2667 [<ffffffc000ddeba0>] ping_common_sendmsg+0x50/0x108 net/ipv4/ping.c:674 [<ffffffc000dded30>] ping_v4_sendmsg+0xd8/0x698 net/ipv4/ping.c:714 [<ffffffc000dc91dc>] inet_sendmsg+0xe0/0x12c net/ipv4/af_inet.c:749 [< inline >] __sock_sendmsg_nosec net/socket.c:624 [< inline >] __sock_sendmsg net/socket.c:632 [<ffffffc000cab61c>] sock_sendmsg+0x124/0x164 net/socket.c:643 [< inline >] SYSC_sendto net/socket.c:1797 [<ffffffc000cad270>] SyS_sendto+0x178/0x1d8 net/socket.c:1761 CVE-2016-8399 Change-Id: I3f808eccf627e46155ed83869478232a76776fa7 Reported-by: Qidan He <[email protected]> Fixes: c319b4d ("net: ipv4: add IPPROTO_ICMP socket kind") Cc: [email protected] Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: David S. hi,
posting this issue (and possible rough fix ) here, because I do not know which one is the right repo.
