iTunes automatically starts after closing it while scrobbler is active.

Every time I exit iTunes on Windows, it just starts up again after a couple of seconds. This stops happening when I exit the last.fm scrobbler.

Is it possible to prevent the scrobbler from triggering iTunes when iTunes is not running?
