• Although, niri has an overlay but it doesn't hide on press-release like AndroidOs but you have to press the predefined twice one to show and one to hide it.

• Also, as far as i know it is always displayed in the center of the screen and can't be configured to be placed on the various screen edges.

Need to add a check to find the wayland-session we are in and perform the necessary actions / read configs , setup watchers etc.
