Desktop Version - "license key", 2 dozen API keys, waiting list does not work... how to use?

Fell in love with the web app, wanted to run it on my Linux desktop.
Appimage starts, then does basically nothing. Wants either a license key, or you have to manually configure around two dozen API keys... License key is mentioned nowhere here on Github in the app description, nor on the worldmonitor.app site, so apparently no way to get one, and if I try to submit my email for the waiting list, the only thing I get is a generic error message.

So... is the only way to make the desktop versions work to manually set up each and every API key?

Yep, would love to see this license key and would be ready to pay for it as soon as it comes out. This is such an impressive work which also must have huge costs. Thanks for that.
