Cancel a class

Find the class in the backend and check the "canceled" checkbox. Save the class. The class will be marked as canceled on the site, registered students won't receive reminder emails, and new students won't be able to sign up.

You may add, to the description, a note explaining the cancelation.

Go to the facilitator page for the class, get the email addresses for registered students, and tell them not to attend unless they wish to be alone.
If you want to pretend that the class never even existed, you can set the class to "removed" instead of "canceled".
You'll note that our procedure calls for marking classes as canceled and, sometimes, changing their publishing status. Do not delete classes if they were ever published or if we are likely to run them again. (In general, we do not delete data from the site.)
