Question: should there be a way to follow more granular objects (like issues, prs, milestones, etc.)

I've been using Middleman for a few days now and I am really enjoying it. I've been using it for a few personal projects and has been useful.

I also tried setting it up for a few work-related projects and I found it to be too noisy. The work-related projects are very active and have many commits, issues, and PRs being created all the time that are not of interest to me.

Maybe this is completely out of middleman's intended scope, but I'd be interested in tracking more granular things for some repos. For example, I create an issue in a repo. I want to track anything related that issues (PR's that mention it, other issues that reference it, milestones its related to, releases that its related to).

Closest to that we have atm is you can filter the Activity view to show only notifications, which will show you all the PRs/ issues github sends you notifications for.

This is useful, but I still would not want to add the noisy repos I was referring to because they'll show up in other places in the app. But I understand this problem might be out of scope for middleman.

We've also recently added a involves-me filter as well as repository presets. that probably gets far enough
