Sometimes the turn marker is shown before the "Begin Combat" button is pressed.
I have tried to track down the issue and I think I have found out what triggers it. I can reproduce it with no other modules.
The problem happens if you have combatants already in the combat list (but no combat started) and you then add one or more new ones. If ANY of the new combatants are placed at the top of the combat list (I'm not sure how it is decided where they get placed, since before initiative is rolled the order is not determined), then the turn marker is shown on the top actor that was ORIGINALLY in the list (i.e. not the new ones you just added). When you begin the combat the turn marker correctly moves to the first actor in the list (even if initiative hasn't been rolled).
This is even reproducible if you only have 2 actors and add them to the combat individually. If the second one is placed above the first in the list then the turn marker appears before the combat begins (incorrectly).
I've been seeing this for a while, but only just tracked down how to reproduce it. I'm currently using
FVTT 9.268
D&D 5e 1.5.7
The following image is probably not that useful, but shows the turn marker being displayed even though the combat has not begun. I produced this by adding Derrick to the combat, then selecting and adding Sully. For whatever reason, Sully was entered above Derrick in the list, and this caused the marker to be displayed on Derrick.
