Migrating from vim to neovim problem

I have been using vim-slime in vim to interact with a guile REPL
In vim i just did:
command rightbelow vertical terminal guile
which would open up a separate pane with guile running
then hitting ctrl-c ctrl-c first time (or enter command SlimeConfig) would open up a list of options:

so i just typed 1 and i could hit ctrl-c ctrl-c on a block of code ande it would be
executed in guile.

Now in neovim i tried to set it up exactly the same but now SlimeConfig prompts for a
screen session name and after that a screen window name


To which i have no idea what to enter.
The pane runnig guile has a name:

but i cannot find out how to use this to satisfy SlimeConfig.

Another difference i noticed is that in vim guile is started in insert (or active?) mode once started and it stays
like that when switching panes with mouse clicks.
In neovim however guile is started in normal mode (or inactive?) and needs to be activated by manually
entering insert mode (i). When switching panes with mouse clicks it then always returns in normal (inactive) mode.

How can I get vim-slime runnig in neovim?

Hi @ODON1

The "Screen session/window name" prompts would appear if vim-slime defaults back to GNU screen.

Make sure you set the slime_target correctly (you'll get different (and more relevant) prompts). Here's my config for tmux, as an example.

Let me know how that goes.

Changing my config as in your example suppresses the SlimeConfig dialog but the SlimeLineSend ( )
executes without any noticable effect.

I'm running Neovim in a Konsole teminal under Kubuntu.
changing vim.g.target = "tmux" to vim.g.target = "konsole" results in:

The setting in vim was let g:slime_target = "vimterminal"
This i just noticed does produce errors:

as these functions term_getstatus and term_sendkeys do not seem to exist in neovim.

valid targets are listed here (i.e. konsole won't work)

as for vimterminal, that's for vim itself — for neovim, I would try vim.g.target = "neovim" and read the target's README

I apologize for not having read the docs properly. I just copied most op my vim settings blindly to neovim.
