Autoupdate the copied text when the source changes

It would be very nice if the copied text also automatically updates when the source updates

I think / would suggest that the "Copy Embed Link" commands might address this use-case. Embedding a link to the copied text is one way to ensure that the up-to-date text appears in multiple locations.
