Publish to the Chrome Store #21
Comments
Cheers for doing the interim build @obfuscatedgenerated and for the nudge! I'm keen to publish this to the webstore given the interest. I'll make some time to do this and report back. I think what I'll do is publish this extension through a Group Publisher so that, at some point if someone else wants to step up as a co-maintainer, I will not be a bottleneck on publishing. If someone would like to post a extension icon / has any text copy suggestions, feel free to suggest here. |
I've brushed things up and tested the extension out with some ebooks (#23) and submitted the latest version of the file to the Chrome store for review. There's plenty to be done with this extension to make it more than minimally useful, but it's a start. Will post an update in this issue when I hear it. |
Just checked, the chrome store rejected my publication request because they needed some more explicit reasoning for the permissions. I'll give it another go |
Hey, where can a pre-complied version of this be found? I'm like OP and don't know the first thing about compiling extensions. I've seen links at https://www.reddit.com/r/libgen/comments/szc6s6/comment/hyi6i3k/ that seem to point to obfuscated's builds, but they seem to have been 404'd? Sorry for the hassle. Would really love to use this |
Nevermind, seems like it can be found here https://web.archive.org/web/20220226114749/https://github.com/obfuscatedgenerated/random-release-stuff/releases/tag/ebook-1.0.1 |
hey, i found the .crx through archive.org and was able to add it to my chrome extensions. i don't see any options to actually use it when i open up my article of interest in proquest, though. how do i actually use this thing? (i am like op and have no knowledge of how to compile extensions). |
never mind, seems like that link is corrupted |
Works for me. Doesn't work on Chrome in Windows because of Google |
i see. what os did you use to run it, then? |
