The current setup allows pushing changes directly to the hosting server. However it would be nice to have the site on GitHub as well. (Why exactly?). An automatic update of the site from GitHub does not seem advisable. One option would be to use a Release Branch, another could be pushing directly from the development machine to the hosting server and GitHub. Both should be tried.
