upgrading

I am using minecraft java with spigot; this says;

restart the image, it'll upgrade.. It isn't doing so, is there some extra flag or something I can not find?

Do I need to find a new server or something?

I tried;

spigotDownloadUrl: "https://files.mcjars.app/spigot/1.21.10/4541/server.jar"

did not download

also; found this; https://docker-minecraft-server.readthedocs.io/en/latest/types-and-platforms/server-types/bukkit-spigot/

notice, still downloaded 1.21.8. Any help here? Thanks

Upgrade to what version? 1.21.10?

As the error clearly says, go to

and you'll see only 1.21.8 is available.

yeah, but spigot have released 1.21.10, my client is 1.21.10/auto updated. So we are now unable to use the server. So, I tried a direct URL to 1.21.10, this didn't work. Still getting 8, I am now stuck with an unplayable server.

I tried changing the type from SPIGOT to PAPER and that didn't work either, still got .8.

The bedrock one used to work really well. What do you use for a seamless experience?

Another thought is, is there a way to get getbukkit to update their server versions? Or is there another download spot which is updated that the server works with.

You'll have to talk to them about that at https://getbukkit.org/

Do realize that these server mod authors, and the prebuilt download provider, do most of their work for free and as personal projects, like me for this project. Please have patience and respect for people's efforts.

I realise this, and do community work myself. I am sorry if you have the perception that I am being impatient or disrespectful. I assure you I am not doing either, but I do appreciate that I can be blunt and straight to the point on occasion that may give this impression, but please be assured I am not being either. :)

Yeah, so as I am sure you are working out I am not familiar with the minecraft eco system. I am finding it complex and huge. I just surprised like something like spigot or paper doesn't share a release cadence that is a bit closer to vanilla, but I suppose it is it just doesn't make it to getbukkit.

How come the direct URL doesn't work? What did I do wrong there?

Is there a way to set the channel in the chart or just add an env var?
