todo function does not prompt me for correct inputs

how does the program know when my todo is dueOn when i didnt provide any date/time?
why is the todo default deadline by the next hour?

Also, UG mentioned that I had to flag by --dueOn [date time]. I did not do so, yet the program still created the todo for me.
