Library fails to build on sparc,powerpc,arm because of bad casting in the test suite #32
Description
The current version of the library fails to build on some platforms which can
be seen here:

The bug was reported via debian bugs:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=695024
The report also contains a patch to fix this bug.
