Teams App Issue

In our environment the app is approved and assigned to an app permission policy. Users are not able to add the GitHub in the desktop client but are able to add it in the web client. Once added in the web client it isn't syncing to the desktop client. The users are able to use the app in the web client but not the desktop client. Also, it looks like the app uninstalls itself after a period of time. I've reached out to MS and they said it was an issue for GitHub. So here we are.

I'm not sure how this works but are there any updates on this issue? This has become a blocker for my Org.
