Describe the bug

It's possible for sort property of ClinicalInput gql type to be undefined which cause internal server errors in donor-repo: https://github.com/icgc-argo/argo-clinical/pull/796/files#diff-4ae4ca8a28ad6ed0bac46a024497abb3b760d8285be675fee506a8f251e7d88cR194
