pg_config executable not found

Rapsberry Pi 3 / Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Python 2.7.16 / pip 18.1

Hi @huserben, when I try to install with
python -m pip install --no-cache-dir -r requirements.txt
I get the error
Error: pg_config executable not found.
with the further info
pg_config is required to build psycopg2 from source. Please add the directory containing pg_config to the $PATH or specify the full executable path ...

Do I need to install something else?

this seems strange. What does stand out to me is the fact that you are using python 2 and not 3. I've never run this on python 2 so my assumption would be that this could be the problem.

Do you have the possibility to switch to python 3 and try it?

Ok, I try to upgrade. Fingers crossed that I don’t brake anything else 😅
