Ideation

Idea:

• make a platform that people can chat with in real-time
• the platform can have varying customization such as background color/image/layout, etc
• a possible Chrome extension? web app?
• people can create different screens (private servers) to chat privately with their friends or colleagues ( better slack )
• there might be a video call but there are no promises
• highly customizable.

Motivation

since the first day that I made an account on Discord and Slack, I was disappointed that major customization features were locked behind a paywall. As a poor money saver person, I would not pay for their nitro or upgrade my account.

Why start now?

i had this idea a long time ago and time was not always on our side. since the trimesters were too short to make something big, this project gives us the right amount of time to cook up a fully working app that we are passionate about. I belive that if you are passionate about the thing that you are making, that solely will fuel your motivation to give it your best effort.
