France: admin2 for departmental elections

Hi,

The Highcharts Map France, admin2 is not up to date.

They are three changes:

=> fr-ges-br and fr-ges-hr have merged = fr-a in the Highmap France (2015)

=> fr-cor-cs and fr-cor-hc have merged = fr-h in the Highmap France (2015)

=> the new Métropole de Lyon (without hc-key) is now seperate from Rhône department (fr-ara-rh)

Without links to official sources I am unable to verify if there are changes that should apply to the existing maps.
If the map division you require has an official definition we could add it as a new map.
France, admin2 is a map of departments - 2nd level of administrative division of France, after the 1st level - regions.

1. Alsace (territorial community) consisting of the Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin departments. (since 2021 - not 2015).
2. "As of 2019 Corse-du-Sud and Haute-Corse are still administrative departments, although they no longer have the status of departmental "territorial collectivities": region and department functions have been managed by a "single territorial collectivity" since 2018." - wikipedia.
3. Métropole de Lyon is not a department - it is a collectivity with special status.

For some electoral Data and Map:
-Collectivité européenne d'Alsace (CeA) is separate from Région Grand Est
-Métropole de Lyon is seperate from Rhône department

Here's a newer presidential election map that is different: https://www.archives-resultats-elections.interieur.gouv.fr/resultats/presidentielle-2022/index.php

If the map division is not official but only used for showing election results we sure can try to add it with some additional name, like "élections départementales de 2021" (sorry for just copy-pasting a part of your comment that seems relevant), but at this moment, such a map will have rather low priority and I would recommend creating a custom map instead.

Thank you very much for your response.
It is an official division, but only for departmental elections.
So I understand that this is not a priority!
I will continue to use the one I found (https://www.france-politique.fr/elections-departementales-2021.htm).

Internal note:
The next regional and departmental elections are scheduled for March 2028.
The regions might change so the map for 2021 elections should have a time reference when added to avoid any confusion with potentially the one in 2028.
