First of all it's excellent work !

Running CQ5.5 all works great apart form the fact that we got missing loader.gif and $ not being defined...

The CSS has been updated and the stale image reference has been removed. As for the jQuery portion, it's up to the client to include their desired version of jQuery.

Quick question: regarding the com.headwire.aemsolrsearch.services why isn't it called com.headwire.aemsolrsearch.configuration since it has so much to do with the configuration ?

This project was built using the CQ Blueprints Maven archetype. By default, it creates a Maven submodule called "-services." This sub module contains the project's Java classes. The default package is all named ".services". I never changed the default package name after the initial scaffolding.
