Shadow hierarchy in terms attached to hierarchical post types

Where a hierarchical post type is being shadowed it should replicate this hierarchy in the term hierarchy. I have a rudimentary patch for this working in my own project but it would be a very beneficial if this was in the core plugin.

I imagine this can be done, we should take a look.
