Tile

Hi,

I'm trying to get my Happy Bubbles (which are awesome) to see a new Tile. I came across a post here (https://community.home-assistant.io/t/bluetoothle-tile-detect-on-raspberry-pi/10130/6) and I did regster my tile with my phone, and then deleted the app. However, it's not picking up the title still. Is there a timeout period where the tile will "switch" back to advertising?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated, and thank you so much for such awesome products!

Chris, thanks for the kind words and I'm happy you're finding the product useful.

To be honest I don't have any Tiles and haven't used them. They made take a while to switch back to advertising or stop advertising after a while unless a button is pressed? I'm not sure.

Are you checking the 'Latest Beacons Seen' part of the presence server? Try to keep the Tile close (just a few feet) from one of the detectors and see if they show up with a very strong signal.

Is your detector picking up other devices?

Hi @nemik thanks for getting back with me so quickly.

Yes, I am checking the the 'Latest Beacons Seen' and I put the Tile right next to the HB sensor...and I didn't see anything (it did pick up my other BLE things, so I know it is working).

PS I'm happy to send you a Tile (if you want to setup and Amazon.com list with them on there).

Thanks for the offer, but I was going to pick one up anyway. Which Tile model are you testing with?

And it's a dumb question, but are there any other phones around with the Tile app running? Because maybe they're bonding to it and making it stop advertising.

Yep tried that tip, after 24 hours it's still not "advertising". As for which one, I'm trying the "Tile Mate" and the "Tile Slim" (I tried several, in case one was bad).
