For MacOS users.

Installation

Download Ollama for macOS. https://www.ollama.com/download

Run the application and accept install steps.

Run

Open MacOS Terminal app found in the Applications Utilities folder.

You can now enter the commands described in the README Run the model section.

ollama run deepseek-r1:1.5b

You can also run other LLM models supported by Ollama such as this smaller version of Llama 3.2.

ollama run llama3.2:1b
