install .tmux but nothing happen

Hello, I followed the readme file to complete the operation, but it did not work

my operation is:
git clone -b gh-243 https://github.com/gpakosz/.tmux.git
ln -s -f .tmux/.tmux.conf
cp .tmux/.tmux.conf.local .

my tmux version is:
tmux 2.1

and i have changed the branch to gh200-gh221 but it did not useful

i check my .tmux.conf.local file,it makes no error

i use Mobaxterm on windows to connect my sever

i know，because i have a session is running but tmux sever need you kill your all tmux session and then it will reload .tmux.conf.local
