Propose initial list of case studies for groundplatform.org #2117
Comments
@jo-spek @jabramowitz5 If you agree, perhaps we can come up with a template / format and split them up amongst us? |
Hi @gino-m. When you say case studies, you mean first successful campaigns with some useable data and maybe some nice pictures etc to put on display on the website? Besides, when we talk about templates, I'd suggest e.g. an EUDR template that is as hyper-simple as it gets, covering nothing but the 4 categories that the EU Information System requires (geometry, producer country, production place, producer, hectares), such as this one: https://ground.openforis.org/survey/tPvsJUbRrfdoP4H9ImTm Regarding the template you requested in #2116: For training purposes I previously created templates that would cover every functionality that is currently available in Ground. I could share or create one of these again. |
Yes, that's correct.
Did we say we were prioritizing public listed + unlisted surveys over survey templates for now? In that way we would data collectors to start testing the app without needing to use the web app to create a survey from a template. Please cmiiw.
This was referring to a Jekyll template for the proposed site layout, not a Ground template. @amegantz is looking into that. |
Ok, we might have some stuff from the Kenya campaign, albeit it was really just a first show and tell and no data collection campaign.
TBH I don't know what exactly you mean with these distinctions (public listed / unlisted / survey templates). This is what I understand:

We definitely should highlight the CERSGIS campaign in this way, and we have the material (content + photos) to do so. I am thinking we have a set format with a few required pieces of info (bolded) and then a description of about 1 paragraph with details. Maybe something like this (to be edited): Project Title: Reference Data Collection for Improving Land Use Change Mapping in Ghana - Building Climate Resilience in the Cocoa-Forest Mosaic Landscape |
@jo-spek @jabramowitz5 Can we work on this together? Some initial ideas:
