This Contributor License Agreement ("CLA") applies to contributions submitted to
the glyf project.
Project owner: Kannan Kalidasan
Project: glyf
By signing this CLA:
- you keep copyright and authorship in your contributions
- you confirm that you are allowed to contribute the work
- you grant the project owner broad, permanent rights to use your contributions
- the project owner may maintain, distribute, sublicense, relicense, and commercialize the project, including your contributions
This CLA is a license grant, not a copyright assignment. If copyright ownership transfer is ever required, that would need a separate written agreement.
The sections below are the agreement.
Project Owner means Kannan Kalidasan and any GitHub organisation, legal
entity, or successor project vehicle owned or controlled by Kannan Kalidasan for
maintaining or distributing glyf.
Project means glyf, including its source code, documentation,
examples, tests, website, and related project materials.
Contribution means any original work that you intentionally submit for inclusion in the Project, including code, tests, documentation, examples, configuration, design materials, comments, patches, pull requests, and issue content intended to become part of the Project.
You means the individual contributor signing this CLA.
You grant the Project Owner a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, distribute, make available, and otherwise use your Contributions in source or object form.
This license includes the right for the Project Owner to:
- include your Contributions in the Project
- modify, maintain, and distribute your Contributions
- relicense your Contributions as part of the Project
- use your Contributions in hosted services, commercial offerings, enterprise offerings, documentation, examples, and related products or services
- sublicense your Contributions to downstream users under open source, commercial, or other license terms chosen by the Project Owner
You retain copyright ownership in your Contributions and may use them for any other purpose.
If your Contribution includes patent claims that you have the right to license and that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone, or by combination of your Contribution with the Project, you grant the Project Owner and recipients of Project distributions a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Contribution as part of the Project.
By signing this CLA, you represent that:
- you are legally entitled to grant the rights described in this CLA
- your Contributions are your original work, or you have clearly identified any third-party material and its license
- your Contributions do not knowingly violate another person's intellectual property rights
- if your employer or another organisation may have rights in your Contribution, you have permission to submit the Contribution under this CLA
- you will not knowingly submit malicious code, secrets, private credentials, or material that you are not allowed to publish
If you later discover that a Contribution cannot be licensed as described here, you agree to notify the Project Owner promptly.
The Project Owner is not required to accept, merge, publish, or continue using any Contribution.
Unless required by law or agreed in writing, Contributions are provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind.
You sign this CLA by posting the required CLA statement from CONTRIBUTING.md on your pull request from the same GitHub account used to submit the Contribution.
Your CLA acceptance applies to the pull request where it is posted and to future Contributions submitted from the same GitHub account, unless you notify the Project Owner in writing that you withdraw acceptance for future Contributions. Withdrawal does not affect rights already granted for Contributions submitted before withdrawal.
