[Noob question] What happen if a channel is down?

I'm new to Python, and I'm trying to make this script work. My main goal is to find a way to check if a channel is down so that I can manually check and fix it. Any guidance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @cprieto64 , Thank you for your question.

If channel is down, on the webpage, you would just see stats as usual, but for this "down" channel they won't update - nothing much. But if you want me to implement the "recognition of down channels", just tell me about it.
