Prioritize fixing core-bugs

I recently installed gray-jay and barely got any core features to work properly. E.g.

• I can't use twitch because filters do not work
• I can't use kick because login gives unspecific errors and because filters do not work
• I can't watch youtube livestreams because - again - filters do not work
• I can't use soundcloud because it immediately blocked my account on login, saying: my "browser" seems suspicious
• I can't use groups because the UI to group stuff is made in the worst imaginable way, forcing me to spent hours to archive proper grouping

Soooo... all that works somewhat is watching youtube-videos (excluding livestreams for the most part) and maybe some of those niche providers.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort and all but why leaving it in a barely functioning state for many month instead of prioritizing those issues that break core features? Most of these issues were reported a loooooong time ago.

This alienates people who are willing to pay (like me & friends of mine) and who would do testing and report bugs. Shouldn't that be avoided? Am I missing something? I mean it has sync and 10 plugins and all that great stuff but one can't even watch his creators properly, so why should anyone use the app or pay for it? I am genuinely curious, why things are the way they are, please let me know!

What do you mean when you say filters don't work?

• Soundcloud issue should be fixed in next version.
• Twitch and youtube livestreams should work.
• Kick issue is a a new one. They changed something on their backend and now we need to adjust. This is just the reality we have to deal with and don't have any control over.

Thank you for the information! Maybe I just hit a sweet-spot timing-wise where a bunch of things were broken unfortunately.

However the issue with the non-functional filters remains (reported here: #35). I saw more reports about other filters not working as well. The only way to get a list of actively live-streaming creators is to set the filter to live only. But that results in an empty list, this way grayjay becomes borderline unusable for live-streams, while being 95% there.
