The latest update for Chromecast no longer supports screen mirroring. Each app has to have its own "cast" button to start using Chromecast from within the app.

Before, I could use the Chromecast app to start mirroring, then open my app and the Famium plugin would pick up the Chromecast display immediately. That's no longer possible. It looks like this plugin would need to add support for the new Chromecast or I would need to go look for another plugin on Android.

@Montoya we are going to address this when the new Presentation API specification is published. But I saw multiple demonstrations with Chromecast Screen mirroring from Android.
FYI: The W3C Presentation (https://www.w3.org/TR/presentation-api/) will become a Recommendation soon (end of the year) and we will then publish a new version of the plugin that is fully compatible with the new version which also bring some new features which are not supported in the current version which implements an older version of the Presentation API Specification (https://www.w3.org/2014/secondscreen/presentation-api/20140721/)

@Montoya the Presentation API is now natively (no plugin) supported on Chrome for Android and Desktop you can use it from any site together with Chromecast.

I'm sorry, I meant as a cordova plugin... I want to use this in an app for iOS

Looking for a cordova solution too.
Right now i don't get chromecast devices listed when i request session, i have to cast first, then device is availble.
It is a limitation from google? and we need to use their cast sdk with registered app?
Thanks

Did you find any solution to list chromecasts in cordova and start casting?
