JACK/LV2 CV? #1
Description
The JACK audio system and LV2 plugin format both allow support for CV signals plumbed between apps and plugins (e.g. Ingen). The metadata mechanism allowing CV was only more recently added to JACK2, along with further and initial CV support in JACK clients/LV2 hosts Carla, MOD and Zrythm. The software "CV" signal is at audio rate with the min, max and "unit" values defined by the LV2 plugin. (Presenting that information as JACK port metadata is planned in Carla). There is not yet a method of translating this signal into the real world. Maybe a bridge for this might be a fit for the Flipotronics system? More information can be found on this thread.
