Description
Requested by Chuck and Stu:
Natalie, one thing to consider is for DT WN to no longer produce the output in ASCII file format and the corresponding .PRJ files. Producing them in GeoTiff format would eliminate the need for the .PRJ files as the projection information would be embedded in the GeoTiff. You could also stop producing the cloud cover files (.CLD) as FlamMap no longer needs or uses them.
The Current .ATM file formats you create will still work, as Stu said, we just ignore the .CLD files anyways. The big thing is that in FlamMap the user needs to remember that the .ATM file and all the corresponding wind grids need to be located in the same folder. Creating the ATM file in FlamMap will make sure that happens as when loading each days speed and direction file you have to navigate to the location they are stored.
I attached what an ATM file would look like without the cloud files in there. All my WN inputs and the ATM file are in the same directory.
Here is what it looks like in the FlamMap ATM dialog.

Here is a link to the FlamMap Help section on the ATM File: https://owfflammaphelp62.firenet.gov/FileTypes/Atmosphere_File.htm You’ll notice that the example shows the filenames in closed quotes, but that isnt necessary.
