Unable to update firebase-tools on Arch Linux with nvm

I am unable to update firebase-tools on Arch Linux. The firebase --version command consistently returns 14.11.0 despite numerous attempts to update.

Environment:

OS: Arch Linux

Shell: Zsh

Node Manager: nvm with Node.js v22.17.1 (LTS)

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

Confirmed which firebase points to the correct executable in the ~/.nvm directory.

Cleaned the ~/.zshrc file to remove all conflicting paths and correctly source nvm.

Performed a full manual removal of all firebase executables (/usr/bin/firebase, ~/.npm-global, etc.) and configuration directories (~/.nvm, ~/.config/firebase).

Performed a clean re-installation of nvm, Node LTS, and firebase-tools@latest.

Cleared the shell cache with hash -r.

Despite these steps, executing /home/jonathan/.nvm/versions/node/v22.17.1/bin/firebase --version still reports 14.11.0.
