Auto start KTailctl minimised on login

I would like to start KTailctl automatically when I log in but want it to be minimised. I want the tray icon so I can see the tailnet status at a glance. Like how it is done on windows and mac.

@benhovinga, this is supposed to work and how I use the application myself. In the settings make sure that the tray icon is enabled as well as "Start minimized".

I use KDE as my desktop environment and just added KTailctl to start automatically there. I suppose most desktop environment have a similar option in their settings.

Maybe it would be good to have an option to create these autostart entries within KTailctl itself (after all they are just .desktop files in a special folder). I would have to figure out if this is possible within a flatpak but I guess it would be a good addition. Also some flatpak apps (e.g. telegram) seem to have exactly this functionality built-in while also shipping as a flatpak.

Please feel free to create an issue if one of the aforementioned functionalities (toggling the tray icon/starting minimized is not working properly).

I am using PopOS which I think is Gnome based. During login, tailscaled starts as expected but ktailctl doesn't. When the app is open the icon display's in the task bar but when I close the app (with the X button) it's doesn't minimise to the task bar. If I minimise (with the - button) it into both the programs bar and task bar.

Is that making any sense? I am bouncing between Linux, Mac, and Windows. The native Mac and Linux desktop interfaces work almost the same and I am used to that functionality. The many different linux desktops are still confusing to me, but it could be an issue with how popOS handles the desktop environment. I am probably going to switch distros soon so that might fix it.
