@benhovinga, this is supposed to work and how I use the application myself. In the settings make sure that the tray icon is enabled as well as "Start minimized".

I use KDE as my desktop environment and just added KTailctl to start automatically there. I suppose most desktop environment have a similar option in their settings.

Maybe it would be good to have an option to create these autostart entries within KTailctl itself (after all they are just .desktop files in a special folder). I would have to figure out if this is possible within a flatpak but I guess it would be a good addition. Also some flatpak apps (e.g. telegram) seem to have exactly this functionality built-in while also shipp…
