"First Visit" message boxes

In order to guide our users a little bit more (reflecting some feedback we got on how the purpose of the site is not fully clear on first visit), I would like to add the following:

• a BO tab "Site Messages" that allows admins to do the following

View existing Message Boxes (by default, display existing messages + corresponding page)

• Edit existing
• Deactivate existing
• Activate New Box on [Select Page]
• Enter text message (same formatting tool as elsewhere)

Boxes should be limited to 1 per page!

For the user, this box should be displayed by default the first time he visits, and stay visible until the user clicks "Hide this", after which it disappears forever (depending on cookie or whatever we use) and the rest of the page "scrolls up".

The box should be displayed:
HOME: under the teaser
All other pages: right under the header

Isn't something hardcoded enough? Does it really need to be "BOed"?

I guess your right we don’t need it right now, was just a way to save u guys any maintenance when we adapt the wordings.
