I do not use HA anymore (but still use some python code to control the rotel). So the lib has not been updated from a long time and may not be aligned with HA anymore ...

Hi all,

I just forked this repository and implemented compatibility with the current Home Aassistant (version 2024.2.0). You can find my fork at https://github.com/matthijs-oosterhoff/homeassistant_rotel. Please note the installation is slightly different and that the integration is not fully finished, for instance the DAC Frequency is currently not shown in HA. I am planning on finishing that part and maybe even adding some more features in the following days.

@elric91 Would you be willing to accept a Pull Request or would it make more sense that you refer to my fork in your repository readme, since I have an incentive to keep the integration working. I just bought a Rotel RC-1572 Mk2 and I intend to keep using Home Assistant too :)

Sorry to ask, it did add the IP adress in config , added the folder and 3 files. No new devices shows up (after restart). Should Rotel show up as a new found device automaticly or do i have to take other steps? Thanks.

I'm happy to help, but I think it's better if you open a new issue in the forked project. On my instance, the device shows up automatically after adding the custom component and the config. I can't really guess what's going wrong in your case. Maybe you can attach recent logs of your HASS instance to a new issue in the forked project?
